Our Grant Making Process
Our foundation is staffed by an advisory team that reports to the board of directors. All communication is done through this advisory team.
If you feel your organization is a good fit for our values and geographic scope, submit a one to two-page letter of inquiry that states:
- The problem
- The solution
- Number of people to be served
- Your organization’s qualifications
- Cost and portion being requested
To initiate an inquiry, please complete the Contact Us form on this website, and we will respond with an email address for your inquiry submission.
An advisor will review the letter of inquiry and contact your organization within 30 days. If your organization is invited to submit a full proposal, a document with instructions and a deadline will be provided for the next grant cycle. The Foundation’s board of directors reviews proposals three times per year: spring, summer and fall.
All applicants will be notified by telephone or email of the decisions made by the board. Some grants will require a signed grant agreement.
Periodic post-award reports are requested of grant recipients and are based upon the grantee’s goals, budget, and anticipated impact stated in the proposal. In most cases, the report can be submitted via telephone conversation.
On occasion, an advisor will conduct a site visit.
